Here is the sketch:
I decided to jazz up the sketch this week just a bit. :) That is one thing that I love about Allison's sketches- the ability to make them work for you! I love these photos of Sawyer.
Variation #1 - I flipped the sketch.
Variation #2 - I lengthened the three middle panels to 3" x 9".
Variation #3 - Since I lengthened the middle panels I decided to use a vertical photo in place of the horizontal one. My photo is 3.5" x 5.5". I also added two 2" x 2" photos above the original 2" x 2" photos.
Variation #4 - I created a die cut patterned paper to use as my background. One of my favorite things to do is to use a die cut piece of paper as a stencil. That way I can get the fun edge but use paper that matches.
Variation #5 - I omitted the journaling since I felt like it would make the layout look too busy. Plus the pictures pretty much tell the story.
Variation #6 - I stuck with the star theme but changed the placing of them just a bit to work with the overall feel of the layout. Instead of stitching on the large star I added a star on top with pop dots to add dimension.
I have a copy of Sketches for Scrapbooking One Page Sketches Volume 1 to give to one lucky reader! Leave me a comment below to be entered in a random drawing for Allison’s new one-page sketch book. For additional chances to win, check out the blogs of my fellow Creative Team members. I’ll be randomly selecting someone on Wednesday, August 3rd.
